The new apple iPhone 17 pro max came with a unique and improved aluminum designed body.

this new update came with an improved thermal management, a 6.9- inch Super Retina XDR display with an anti reflective coating and a powerful A19 pro chip.

It also offers a versatile ultimate pro camera system” with longer telephoto zoom and an enhanced front- facing camera.

DESIGN AND DISPLAY

 

Design: The phone has a heat-forged aluminum unibody enclosure that optimizes performance, battery capacity, and durability. This replaces the titanium frame used in the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro models to address overheating issues.

  • Cooling: An internal vapor chamber, laser-welded into the aluminum unibody, moves heat away from the A19 Pro chip, allowing for better sustained performance.
  • Durability: The device features Ceramic Shield 2 on the front for 3x better scratch resistance and an anti-reflective coating to reduce glare. The back of the phone is protected by Ceramic Shield, which is 4x more resistant to cracks than previous glass designs
  • Display: The 6.9-inch OLED Super Retina XDR display has ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz. It offers peak outdoor brightness of 3,000 nits and improved contrast.
  • Camera Plateau: A redesigned, horizontal camera bump runs across the entire rear width of the phone. The “plateau” design was created to make more space for a larger battery.
  • Colors: The iPhone 17 Pro Max is available in deep blue, cosmic orange, and silver finishes.

  • Rear Cameras: The “ultimate pro camera system” consists of three 48-megapixel Fusion cameras: Main, Ultra Wide, and an enhanced Telephoto lens.
  • Telephoto Zoom: A new tetraprism Telephoto camera with a 56% larger sensor provides 8x optical-quality zoom, the longest ever on an iPhone. The maximum digital zoom is up to 40x.
  • Front Camera: The new 18-megapixel Center Stage front camera has a unique square sensor. This allows you to shoot landscape selfies while holding the phone vertically and keeps the subject centered during video calls.
  • Pro Video Features: The iPhone 17 Pro Max offers professional video capabilities, including support for ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2, genlock, and 4K 120fps Dolby Vision recording.
  • Dual Capture Video: A new feature allows simultaneous recording with both the front and rear cameras. Performance and power

 

  • A19 Pro Chip: The device is powered by the A19 Pro chip, delivering faster performance, especially for demanding tasks like gaming and video editing.
  • Wireless Technology: The phone includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and a new N1 networking chip.
  • Battery Life: The iPhone 17 Pro Max features the largest battery ever in an iPhone, offering up to 39 hours of video playback. eSIM-only models provide two additional hours of video playback.
  • Charging: The device supports fast-charging, reaching up to 50% charge in 20 minutes with a 40W adapter (sold separately) or in 30 minutes with a 30W adapter and MagSafe Charger (sold separately).
  • Storage: Available storage options include 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and a new 2TB capacity. 

         

       Software and connectivity

  • Operating System: The iPhone 17 Pro Maxruns on iOS 26, featuring a new “Liquid Glass” design and enhanced personalization options for the Lock Screen.
  • Apple Intelligence: Apple’s new personal intelligence system is integrated into iOS 26, offering features like writing tools, image creation (Genmoji), and Live Translation.
  • Satellite Services: Standard safety features like Emergency SOS via satellite, Roadside Assistance via satellite, and Messages via satellite are available.
  • eSIM-only: In certain regions, the phone is eSIM-only, with no physical SIM card slot.
  • USB-C: The USB-C port supports USB 3, offering data transfer speeds up to 10Gbps.
